Schuler AG is technological and world market leader in metal forming. Its headquarters are located in Göppingen, South West Germany. The company is investing in the Schuler Innovation Tower (S.I.T.), a 12-storey engineering and technology center that will become the working home to 750 staff members. At a height of more than 50 m, it will be a landmark in Göppingen and the town’s highest building.
The Max Bögl solution: narrow table forms for the open facade
The requirements for slab pours were clear: they had to be safe, fast and matched to the tower’s open facade. The solution: table forms, 5.40 m long to exactly fit into the openings between the columns. Short filler pieces with rounded edges provided a perfect match to the column layout. 28 table forms consisting of a wooden sheet on H20 beams plus a swiveling prop head were built for the job and provided the slab forming solution for the entire facade on one level. The stop end on the outer edge was done with a wooden board. Since the table forms are very narrow, they had to be secured using push-pull props. This also proved a simple, practical and fast answer to safety requirements. The contractor’s innovative approach was put into practice thanks to good planning and support by MEVA engineers in Munich and Stuttgart.
Simple transition to the MevaFlex slab area on the inside
The facing sheet stopped 5 cm short of the table forms’ inside edge, allowing a simple transition to the MevaFlex slab forming area on the inside of the building, saving time and effort. The main benefit of the table form method: speed! It allowed the contractor to speed up the schedule for slab works by an entire four weeks.
Round walls, narrow cores, staircases in architectural finish
The complex demands on the overall forming job were fulfilled thanks to careful engineering and planning by MEVA engineers. Efficiency is paramount, so rounded walls were achieved polygonally using rented wall panels with radius compensation fillers. Wall heights of 4.75 m with irregular edges were formed using Mammut 350 panels with just one extension.

One of Ontario’s busiest transportation corridors, Highway 400, began a major expansion project through Kings Township in late 2016. This $79.3 million dollar (CAD) project includes the widening of the highway from three to six lanes in each direction for a two mile stretch and also entails safer on and off ramps, the expansion and realignment of culverts, and the replacement of two bridges − one of them the South Canal Bridge.
The new theater is called The Otto M. Budig Theater and located in Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine district. When completed, it will become the last section of the planned “Classical Arts Corridor” in Cincinnati, which also includes a Music Hall, School for Creative and Performing Arts, and a park.
Children enjoy playing with it, teachers recommend it: the shape sorting box. Based on the popular toy, the architects who conceived the new Meséskert nursery designed the play areas on the top floor as a triangle, circle, and square.
