Superintendent Mike Demos looks to MEVA for Formwork Solutions on Tough Jobs

On parts of the building the architect required an architectural finish using colored concrete – easily achieved with the Imperial wall formwork and its all-plastic, 100 % wood-free facing alkus. Three cores and one shear wall required the climbing scaffold KLK. Each core was poured in several
16’-0 high lifts.

Superintendent Mike Demos: “Imperial is a quick, efficient system. We poured 20’-0 walls in less than two hours. Impressive! Although we´ve never used a jump forming system, the KLK proved to be amazingly simple and easy to learn.“

South Canal Bridge, Ontario: With no crane possible at busy Hwy 400, MevaLite handles the job with ease

One of Ontario’s busiest transportation corridors, Highway 400, began a major expansion project through Kings Township in late 2016. This $79.3 million dollar (CAD) project includes the widening of the highway from three to six lanes in each direction for a two mile stretch and also entails safer on and off ramps, the expansion and realignment of culverts, and the replacement of two bridges − one of them the South Canal Bridge.
